Meet Linda Carter, Founder and CEO

Linda Carter is the Founder and CEO of GLOV N L.L.C. She earned an Associate of Arts degree and an Advanced Fashion Design Certificate from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM), where she studied from 1980 to 1982. She brings more than 30 years of experience in fashion design and product development.

The idea for GLOV N® grew from Linda’s own experience as a mother. She became frustrated by constantly losing gloves and seeing her children lose theirs. Gloves were frequently misplaced, separated from their matching pairs, or left behind. Replacing them repeatedly was inconvenient, costly, and frustrating—especially during cold weather when they were needed most.

Linda also noticed that when people did not have gloves, they naturally pulled their sleeves over their hands to stay warm. That everyday behavior inspired her to ask a simple question: What if gloves could be built into the sleeves and always remain with the garment?

Drawing on her fashion-design and product-development experience, Linda transformed that question into GLOV N®—a patented apparel-integrated glove system. The hand covering is stored in a flap-like sleeve pocket, unfolds onto the hand when needed, and remains attached to the garment.

Linda is the creator and patent holder of GLOV N®, protected by U.S. Utility Patent No. 11,589,626 B2. Her vision is to help established apparel companies offer consumers convenient hand protection that is always available when needed and much harder to lose.

Today, Linda is focused on licensing GLOV N® to qualified apparel brands, manufacturers, uniform suppliers, and strategic partners across children’s apparel, outerwear, workwear, outdoor clothing, public-safety apparel, military and tactical clothing, and other cold-weather categories.
